BEANS × BENZILLA: When Coffee Meets Art runs from 1 November to 20 December 2026 across seven BEANS Coffee Roaster branches in Bangkok. Thai artist BENZILLA turns stages in coffee's journey—from cherry and green bean to aroma, sharing and creative energy—into seven LOOOK characters that rotate among the participating locations.
This is a distributed exhibition rather than a single gallery display. The seven characters and their figures move weekly between Thonglor, Songwat, Mega Bangna, Central Park, Emsphere, CentralWorld and Siam Paragon's fourth floor. Visitors therefore need to check the current rotation if they hope to see a particular character.
Complete Event Overview
Seven stages, seven characters
The collaboration begins with a simple design exercise: if each stage or feeling associated with coffee became a character, what would it look like? BENZILLA's answer is a set of seven named figures. BOLD takes its cue from the ripe red coffee cherry and the confidence to be oneself. POSITIVE is linked to the green bean and the potential of a new beginning. AWAKE translates the first aroma of coffee into alertness.
The remaining characters extend the journey beyond production. CALM represents balance; HAPPY focuses on the pleasure of sharing coffee; INSPIRE treats a café as a space for ideas; and LIMITLESS imagines inspiration travelling beyond a single place. Together, the sequence moves from agricultural material to social and emotional experience.
Visitors do not need specialist knowledge of coffee processing to follow the structure, but the stages provide a useful order for comparing the character designs. Look at how colour, shape and expression distinguish one idea from another. Then consider whether the figure communicates its assigned quality before its name is read.
An exhibition spread across the city
The rotating format changes the usual relationship between exhibition and venue. Instead of bringing all works into one room, the project asks audiences to encounter them in active commercial spaces. Each branch has its own neighbourhood, pace and customer flow, so the same character may be read differently when it moves.
For visitors, the format creates both an opportunity and a practical constraint. It is possible to discover a work during an ordinary coffee stop, but a complete tour requires checking the weekly branch allocation. The official event listing names the seven branches but does not publish a week-by-week timetable. Do not assume that the figure shown at one branch at the beginning of November will remain there through December.
Collectible figures and scarcity
The organiser-provided information says the seven LOOOK Art Figures are also produced as collectibles, limited to nine per colour and 63 in total. That detail helps explain the project's crossover between exhibition, character design and product culture. Viewing the display does not require purchasing a collectible, and availability should not be assumed. Anyone interested in a purchase should confirm current stock and terms directly with BEANS Coffee Roaster.
The project also appeared in a separate CRAFTED auction context at Museum Pier, but that presentation is not the same event. When Coffee Meets Art has its own dates, rotating Bangkok branch network and public-facing format. This article concerns the branch-based programme running through 20 December.

Planning a useful visit
Choose whether your goal is to see one character, compare several branches or simply encounter the project at a convenient location. For a specific figure, contact the branch on the day of the visit because the rotation is central to the event. For a broader design study, photograph only where the venue permits and note how scale, lighting and surrounding café activity affect the work.
The collaboration is most interesting when treated as a city-wide character-design project rather than conventional café decoration. It links a production sequence to seven distinct moods, then tests those figures by moving them through different parts of Bangkok.
