WE NATTH offers a close look at the expressive possibilities of coloured pencil. Running at River City Bangkok until 15 October 2026, the solo exhibition revisits Venus through detailed, layered drawing.
Presented by Master Art, the show gives an everyday drawing material the attention more often reserved for painting.
Looking closely at the surface
The artist, identified by River City as N+K, builds depth and realism through repeated applications of coloured pencil. Venus becomes the recurring subject through which technique and imagination meet.
Try looking first from a comfortable distance, then moving closer without touching the work. A hyperreal image can read very differently when attention shifts from the represented figure to the marks that produce it. This is a particularly useful exhibition for drawing enthusiasts: the interest lies as much in accumulated decisions about colour and detail as in the final illusion.
The short remaining run makes it worth prioritising when planning an October gallery visit.
