Worldbuilding: Macro / Micro connects large-scale change with the small details of daily life. Now showing at River City Bangkok through 1 November 2026, the group exhibition brings together Mariem.b, Jarasporn Chumsri, Chinnarat Mongkolchai and Nakarin Mongkolchai.
Painting, sculpture and mixed media provide different ways to consider how the world outside enters personal experience.
From global forces to familiar things
The exhibition considers relationships between wider shifts in technology, travel, economies and the environment, and the materials, places and memories that shape individual lives. Each artist approaches that relationship from a distinct lived perspective.
A rewarding way to explore the show is to begin with one small detail rather than its broad theme. Follow a material, image or remembered place through the work, then consider the larger forces it might bring into view. This keeps an abstract subject connected to the encounter in front of you.
