Safety in Mind explores the small spaces in which a person can feel at ease. Manatchaya Kitprasert's exhibition runs from 17 October to 29 November 2026 in the BACC pop-up programme at Seacon Square Srinakarin.
This is an off-site exhibition: visit MMAD at MunMun Srinakarin, not BACC's main building near Siam.
The texture of a familiar refuge
Woodcarving is central to the work, with close attention to traces and textures associated with ordinary domestic surroundings. The artist connects these surfaces with the experience of having a quiet corner for reflection.
The exhibition offers a reason to slow down and notice small material decisions. Where does a carved surface suggest use, age or familiarity? How does a modest corner become emotionally significant? These questions provide a way into the work without treating the idea of safety as identical for every viewer.
It can be combined with the neighbouring BACC pop-up exhibitions during the same date range.
