A Place We Share presents Kitti Narod's paintings at Tang Contemporary Art through 18 October 2026. Everyday companionship, shared spaces and the possibility of living with difference sit at the centre of the exhibition.
Its optimistic images are connected to intimate experience rather than an entirely separate imaginary world.
From a phone's proportions to a painting's presence
Many works use a tall 9:16 format associated with smartphone screens. By moving those proportions into painting, Narod creates a different pace of encounter with images drawn from ordinary life.
Stand far enough back to register the whole vertical composition before following its smaller relationships. How do figures share space, and what makes that space feel open or enclosed? These questions can connect the exhibition's social concerns with decisions visible in the paintings.
The gallery's hours differ from River City's general building hours, so check access carefully during the final week.
