Living Room: Home, Life, Materials continues at TCDC Bangkok until 25 October 2026. The exhibition uses the familiar setting of a living room to explore possibilities for bio-based and living materials in domestic design.

Furniture becomes a way to ask how a home might participate in the cycles of the natural world.

Three approaches to material life

The display is organised around fast-renewing plants, biomass waste and living materials. Shelves, lamps, seating and tables connect these categories with objects people recognise from daily use.

Consider the full life of an object rather than only its appearance when new. Where does the material come from, how is it cared for and what happens when its use ends? The exhibition provides a setting for those questions without requiring visitors to accept every new material as an automatic solution.
