Millennials Flex presents Mairung Jarurattanaporn's contemporary reworking of inherited imagery at Seacon Square Srinakarin. The exhibition runs from 17 October to 29 November 2026 as part of BACC pop-up.
Its focus is creative adaptability: how a generation living through rapid change reshapes stories, values and visual traditions.
A character moving between worlds
The artist introduces Jin, a boy whose design draws on traditional Thai lines and a tall lomphok hat. Through this character, folklore and historical references become material for new imaginative narratives.
Look at which features anchor the character in an existing tradition and which make him feel contemporary. The tension can be more interesting than deciding whether an image is simply old or new. This approach makes the show accessible to illustration and character-design enthusiasts as well as visitors interested in Thai visual culture.
The three nearby BACC pop-up presentations share the same exhibition dates, making them a practical group to visit together.
