Tada Hengsapkul's Has anyone ever asked you where the wind comes from? opens at 100 Tonson Foundation on 17 October 2026 and continues until 11 April 2027. Curated by Earth Songsriwilai, the exhibition introduces a new direction in the artist's practice through encaustic painting.
Wax becomes a material through which belief, ritual and exchange can be examined.
A surface between sacred object and commodity
The foundation describes the project in relation to the commercialisation of spiritual life. Painting and installation consider how a material can move between ritual use, market value and artistic expression.
Look at the surface as something made, altered and potentially remade. In encaustic work, material presence can be central to the encounter; photographs may communicate an image while giving less sense of its physical depth. The exhibition invites close observation without requiring agreement with a single account of belief.
Workshops, music events and talks are planned, with details to be announced separately.
