Material Submission Showcase: From Local to Global remains at TCDC Bangkok through 30 December 2026. The exhibition introduces Thai materials developed from local resources for contemporary applications.

It connects creative experimentation with the practical questions faced by designers, makers and material producers.

Think beyond the finished object

TCDC presents selected materials alongside information about the entrepreneurs behind them. One example highlighted in its announcement is a building block incorporating pineapple fibres. The showcase considers how material development can connect local knowledge with wider design networks.

Look for the step between a raw resource and a usable material. What must change for an experiment to become something another person can specify, produce or maintain? That question makes the display useful to curious visitors as well as practitioners.
