Maison JE Bangkok welcomes Love in Silence, a solo exhibition by Taiwanese artist Esther Luo, from 31 October to 24 December 2026. The paintings centre on affection, memory and the small experiences that can easily disappear into a busy day.
With free admission announced in the exhibition release, this is an accessible addition to a late-year gallery visit in the Surawong area.
Painting as an offering
Luo describes her work as a way of preserving moments and sharing warmth with people she values. The exhibition presents painting as a gift: an image can carry a feeling even when that feeling is difficult to put into a direct conversation.
For a first visit, compare the emotional effect of colour with the scene or subject in front of you. Does the atmosphere come from something recognisable, or from the way the painting is constructed? Allowing those two readings to coexist can make a seemingly quiet work more complex.
The show is particularly suited to visitors who enjoy intimate painting and want an alternative to the scale and pace of a large art fair.
