No Permission Exhibition: Independent Art at BKK Collective

No Permission Exhibition brings local visual artists and musicians to BKK Collective Creative Space from 7 to 29 November 2026. Its organising idea is access: creating a place to show work without charging participating artists submission fees or exhibition commissions.

The event offers a way to encounter Bangkok's independent creative community while considering who gets the opportunity to present work publicly.

An alternative route to showing art

Organiser Ben Robinson frames the project as a response to financial barriers faced by emerging and amateur artists. That is the organisers' position, rather than a claim about every gallery. The announced programme combines visual art with music, with individual session details to be checked closer to the visit.

When walking through a group exhibition, try choosing several works that approach similar concerns through different materials. Conversations with available participants can be especially useful: asking about a process or a decision often opens a more interesting exchange than asking whether a work is successful.

The title's challenge is also a practical invitation to support an artist-led initiative by spending time with the work.

Plan your visit

7–29 November 2026 at BKK Collective Creative Space on Rama IV Road in Thung Maha Mek, Sathorn; the listing identifies MRT Khlong Toei as a nearby station. Confirm visiting hours, performance times and visitor admission conditions with the organiser. Free-to-exhibit refers to participating artists and should not be confused with a verified visitor ticket policy.
