Bangkok Raw presents Alain Callebaut's photography at Old Town Gallery from 4 to 31 October 2026. The exhibition looks beyond the city's familiar monuments towards incidental encounters, reflections and gestures in everyday spaces.
It is a final-week opportunity to see Bangkok through a photographer's attention to moments that can easily pass unnoticed.
The city between landmarks
The organiser describes work made during extended walks through markets, alleys, stations and neighbourhoods. The exhibition is arranged across two floors, inviting visitors to spend time with photographs rather than treat them as a rapid sequence of city views.
Try identifying what gives each image its point of tension. It might be the distance between people, a patch of light or a small interruption in an otherwise ordinary scene. Looking at the edge of the frame can be as revealing as concentrating on its most obvious subject.
After the visit, the same exercise can change a familiar walk. The purpose is not to reproduce the photographer's images, but to notice how much of the city becomes visible when attention slows down.
